MANHATTAN, Kan. — Oklahoma State's defense knew what was coming and still couldn't stop it.
Seven consecutive Kansas State run plays spanned 58 yards to begin the fourth quarter, capped by quarterback Jesse Ertz's goal line touchdown rush to extend the Wildcats' lead to nine points. The Cowboys' gave up two turnovers, allowed a partially blocked punt, and in the third quarter alone committed four penalties for 39 yards.
“If you're trying to write a script for them (to win), that would be how you would write it,” said OSU coach Mike Gundy on his postgame radio show.
