STILLWATER — Asked to offer his thoughts on why his star running back deserves to be in the Heisman Trophy conversation, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said he didn’t need to.
“The good thing is, I don’t even have to make a case. I think he’s done it for himself,” Gundy said of redshirt sophomore Chuba Hubbard.
Nearly two minutes later, Gundy eventually stopped talking about Hubbard and what makes him worthy of the Heisman consideration.
“I wasn’t trying to make a case for him, but I guess I kinda was,” Gundy joked after he had finished his monologue.
