OSU football: Mike Gundy impressed with growth of Kansas' Carter Stanley

STILLWATER — A month after Kansas switched offensive coordinators, the Jayhawks have shown improvement.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy has certainly noticed.

“It’s noticeable,” Gundy said. “Little bit of tempo difference, more vertical passing game, big-play passing game. The adjustments they've made on on offense are pretty evident over the last few weeks.”

Kansas coach Les Miles fired offensive coordinator Les Koenning in early October. He was replaced by analyst Brent Dearmon.

Gundy also pointed to the improvement of senior quarterback Carter Stanley, who has thrown for 2,015 yards and 19 touchdowns.

“It seems like he’s really been around forever,” Gundy said.
