Backup linebacker Patrick Macon announced his intent to leave Oklahoma State as a graduate transfer Tuesday morning.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Macon came to OSU out of junior college in 2017 and redshirted his first season. He broke his foot in preseason camp last August, which derailed his redshirt junior season. He did not appear in a game.
“I would like to thank Coach (Mike) Gundy, Coach (Rob) Glass and the entire coaching staff (for) providing me with an opportunity to earn my degree and play football,” Macon wrote on Twitter. “I am very appreciative of all the love and support I’ve received from Oklahoma State family.
