STILLWATER — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy compared Kolby Harvell-Peel to Willie Mays.
It’s a stretch, considering it’s a different sport, but Harvell-Peel pulled off the difficult over-the-shoulder catch Mays is known for on an interception Saturday afternoon in the Cowboys’ 34-27 win over TCU at Boone Pickens Stadium. It was the final of Harvell-Peel’s three turnovers, a career high and personal best.
And this comes after he set a program record with six pass breakups last week at Iowa State.
“It was a big one for me, I’m not going to lie,” Harvell-Peel said. “But Like I said earlier, the win is more important to me.
