STILLWATER — For the third time in four years, Tracin Wallace has suffered a major knee injury.
The Oklahoma State redshirt freshman, who moved from quarterback to receiver in the spring, had been making strides toward playing time in recent weeks. But he injured his knee before last week's game and will need surgery.
Wallace tore the ACL in the same knee in both 2015 and 2016.
Coach Mike Gundy said on Monday that the exact severity of the injury was expected to be known by the middle of the week. Tylan Wallace, Tracin's twin brother and a sophomore receiver for the Cowboys, said his brother will need surgery on the injured knee.
