Walk-on tight end Logan Carter has seen plenty of action as a blocker for Oklahoma State this season, but there haven't been any passes coming his way.
Yet with Jelani Woods suffering an early injury in Saturday's 45-41 upset of No. 9 West Virginia, Carter got his chance on a play that had been designed specifically for Woods. Carter made his first career catch, and dragged a defender into the end zone for a touchdown.
“We schemed it for Jelani all week in practice,” offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich said. “Coach (Jason) McEndoo did a great job preparing those guys.
