STILLWATER — It’s been a year full of golf metaphors for Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy, and he broke out another to describe his team’s kickoff situation.
After redshirt freshman Jake McClure sent back-to-back kickoffs out of bounds in the first half of the Cowboys’ 45-41 upset of No. 9 West Virginia, redshirt senior Matt Hockett replaced him on kickoffs for the rest of the game. Gundy said Monday that McClure, who has had seven kickoffs go out of bounds, will kick off during Saturday’s regular-season finale against TCU.
“I think he'll be fine,” Gundy said.
