STILLWATER — Israel Antwine thrives on stability in all aspects of his life.
Football, academics and everything else.
When the former Millwood High School star defensive lineman began to see the structure crumbling around him after his freshman season at Colorado, Antwine didn't feel comfortable staying there.
And with that, he's set to return closer to home. Antwine has transferred to Oklahoma State, where he could potentially help the Cowboys' depleted defensive line as soon as next fall.
Antwine is already on campus in Stillwater, his father, Dwayne, told The Oklahoman late Friday night.
“He's on campus and situated, and we're very happy about the move,” Dwayne Antwine said, adding OSU has expressed confidence that Israel could be granted a hardship waiver from the NCAA to be eligible immediately, rather than having to sit out a season as required with a typical transfer, due to the major overhaul of the Colorado coaching staff.
