WACO, Texas — Justice Hill took the first-down handoff right, sprinted toward the near sideline, turned the corner, and burst upfield through open air Saturday night at McLane Stadium.
Hill shook a Baylor defensive back with a juke, and it took two more Bear tacklers to bring the Oklahoma State tailback to the turf. A 38-yard fourth quarter scamper that gave Hill his first career 100-yard collegiate rushing total and the Cowboys first-and-10 at the Baylor 14-yard line.
It should have been the lasting memory of Hill's breakout performance.
But of course, in a deflating 35-24 defeat, it became a footnote.
