OSU football: Five takeaways from Cowboys' XX-XX win over No. 24 Kansas State

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State wrapped up a week of tributes to Boone Pickens with a 26-13 win over Kansas State Saturday night in the stadium that holds Pickens’ name.

Here’s a look at five takeaways from the Cowboys’ first Big 12 victory of the season:

1. Hubbard to the rescue

Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard weaved toward the hole, then stutter-stepped through it and kicked into high gear.

Glancing at the giant video board in front of him to make sure he tracked away from his pursuers, Hubbard went untouched for an 84-yard touchdown on Oklahoma State’s first offensive snap of the third quarter.
