In winning a four-hour marathon football game Saturday in Lubbock, Texas, unbeaten Oklahoma State made believers out of ESPN announcers Dave LaMont and Ray Bentley as the Cowboys outscored Texas Tech, 70-53.
Noting the first College Football Playoff ratings come out Tuesday night, LaMont said, “Oklahoma State is on the fringe right now. The beginning part of the schedule might not have been that tough, but they are trying to claw their way into the minds of the committee.”
“You have to give Oklahoma State all kinds of credit,” said Bentley, a former Central Michigan and NFL linebacker.
