OSU football: Cowboys unveil throwback helmet to honor Terry Miller, 1970s teams

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State is throwing it back to the 70s.

The Cowboys unveiled their annual throwback homecoming helmet before Saturday’s big game against No. 18 Baylor - and they are top-notch.

Designed by former OSU running back Greg Gold, the orange helmet with a white OSU logo that was used before the current look.

The helmet was designed to honor two-time All-American and Heisman Trophy runner-up Terry Miller, along with the teams that won the 1974 Fiesta Bowl, 1976 Big Eight championship and 1976 Tangerine Bowl.
