The Oklahoma State football team’s 26 Academic All-Big 12 honorees not only matched Iowa State for the most in the conference, but also set a program record, surpassing the last season's mark of 25.
Thirteen of OSU’s honorees made the Academic All-Big 12 first team, including Cowboy backs Britton Abbott and Logan Carter, who were both nominated with 4.0 GPAs. Abbott is one of only six players in Big 12 history to be nominated with a perfect GPA in three straight seasons.
To make the Academic All-Big 12 first team, a player must have a 3.20 or higher GPA either cumulative or the two past semesters and have participated in 20 percent of his team’s games.
