STILLWATER — Ben Grogan considers himself “kind of” a golfer.
“I'm not a good golfer,” he said, “but I like to go to the driving range and stuff.”
Still, Grogan has played enough golf to recognize how it relates to his specialty — kicking — particularly the vulnerable mechanical and mental sides of both skills.
“It's pretty much exactly like golf,” Grogan said. “There's a lot of little things that can go wrong, that you have to focus on outside of the game. And once you're in the game, you can't think about it.”
The Cowboys kicker can think and rest easier now, after a bounce-back Saturday that distanced him from struggles in the first two games.
