STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s 14th consecutive bowl trip will be to Houston. And it could be against a familiar opponent.
The Cowboys were officially announced as Texas Bowl participants, with multiple reports saying OSU will take on former Big 12 counterpart Texas A&M at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 27 at NRG Stadium.
It would be the second straight bowl game in which OSU faces a former Big 12 team. Last season, OSU won the Liberty Bowl over Missouri.
The Texas Bowl has existed in its current status since 2006, when it replaced the defunct Houston Bowl that was played from 2000-05.
