But Saturday had some recruiting significance, too, for a much simpler reason.
Spencer Sanders was in the stadium.
The star quarterback from Denton (Texas) Ryan High School has long been committed to the Cowboys, but he hadn't taken his official visit until Saturday.
OSU's potential quarterback of the future, Sanders was in the house for Oklahoma State's offensive record-setting performance in a 59-16 win over Baylor.
“The reason that we run the system that we run is because we like it,” OSU coach Mike Gundy said of his offense after it rolled up a school-record 747 yards on Saturday.
