STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s 2020 recruiting class got a boost with the announcement from Iowa Central Community College linebacker Lamont Bishop on Wednesday.
Bishop is the fourth linebacker and the 22nd player overall in the class. A 6-foot-3, 225-pound middle linebacker, Bishop could provide immediate help in the backup spot vacated by Kevin Henry, who transferred to Tulane for his final season of college football.
OSU returns both starting linebackers, Amen Ogbongbemiga and Malcolm Rodriguez, but is thin at the middle spot behind Ogbongbemiga.
Bishop suffered a torn ACL in early October, but should be relatively healthy by the time he arrives in Stillwater in June.
