STILLWATER — If Oklahoma State beats Kansas State on Saturday, Taylor Cornelius would join Brandon Weeden and J.W. Walsh as the only Cowboy quarterbacks under coach Mike Gundy to win their first two road starts.
It’s a feat even Mason Rudolph, Cornelius’ predecessor, didn’t accomplish, losing his first career start at Baylor in 2014. In road games since that defeat, though, the Cowboys are 15-2, winning their past seven. Cornelius and the Cowboys will try to extend the streak at 11 a.m. Saturday in Manhattan, while also working to bounce back from a 48-42 home loss to Iowa State.
