ARLINGTON, Texas — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy would see things in practice last fall.
A facemask grab here, a late hit there.
And he’d brush it off.
“Eh, it’s not that big of a deal,” he would tell himself.
“Then it ended up coming true that you pretty much play how you practice,” Gundy said Monday at Big 12 Media Days at AT&T Stadium.
“We were doing things that we didn’t need to do that probably cost us two games.”
After a school-record three straight 10-win seasons, Gundy put the car on cruise control, and it nearly went off a cliff.
