STILLWATER — Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard has been where quarterback Spencer Sanders is right now.
Hubbard lost a fumble in the fourth quarter of last season’s Bedlam matchup that set up Oklahoma’s decisive touchdown. He also missed a block at Iowa State that allowed Taylor Cornelius to be sacked and stripped of the football.
That’s why Hubbard is trying to pick up Sanders, who has 12 turnovers in his past four games. Sanders had three in Saturday’s 45-27 loss to No. 18 Baylor inside Boone Pickens Stadium.
“He’s young, he’s learning,” Hubbard said. “He’s going to make mistakes.
