STILLWATER — Cameron Murray was supposed to be a traditional defensive tackle in a four-man front.
That’s what former Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer recruited Murray as in 2015. But plans change. So do the coordinators.
Murray is still thriving, but now as a defensive tackle in a three-man front under Jim Knowles’ system.
“He’s one of the guys that has a little maturity,” OSU coach Mike Gundy said.
When No. 21 OSU hosts No. 7 Oklahoma at 7 p.m. Saturday inside Boone Pickens Stadium, the Cowboys’ defense will face a potent offense with a ton of confidence.
