OSU football: Brendon Evers recovering from postseason surgery

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State defensive tackle Brendon Evers began the season in the starting lineup, but played sparingly down the stretch while battling an undisclosed injury.

Whatever the injury was, it required surgery, Evers revealed.

“Surgery went well! Time to get back to work!” Evers posted Friday on Twitter.

Evers started the first two games of the season on the defensive line, then sat out one, and made one more start before being relegated to a backup role the rest of the way. In all, he played in 10 games this season, recording six tackles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
