STILLWATER — Oklahoma State receiver Braydon Johnson’s role continues to expand. This time, it’s as a kick returner.
Johnson returned kicks for the first time during Saturday’s 34-27 win over TCU at Boone Pickens Stadium.
It was a move that slid speedster LD Brown to the opposite side of the field as the secondary returner. Brown was banged up entering the game, so the Cowboys lightened his work load but left him on the field if needed.
“We put Braydon back there to give him a shot,” OSU coach Mike Gundy said. “He’s obviously very fast and kickoff return part of it is if you hit a crease and you’re fast, it’s a good play.
