STILLWATER — Officiating crews from the Mid-American Conference and the Big 12 Conference have been given two-game suspensions for the misapplication of a rule in Oklahoma State's 30-27 loss to Central Michigan, it was announced Sunday.
The on-field MAC officiating crew incorrectly awarded CMU one untimed snap after OSU quarterback Mason Rudolph was flagged for intentional grounding on fourth down with time expired in regulation. The Big 12 replay officials did not reverse the call, either, and will also not be eligible to staff a bowl game this season. CMU scored a touchdown on a Hail Mary hook-and-ladder on its final possession to win the game.
