STILLWATER - Oklahoma State cornerback A.J. Green is one of 14 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award, the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame announced Monday.
The award is given annually to college football’s best defensive back. Green won a semifinalist fan vote to secure his spot.
A three-year starter, Green has six career interceptions, including a pick-six earlier this year against McNeese State.
Other semifinalists include: San Diego State’s Luq Barcoo, Wake Forest’s Essang Bassey, Texas Tech’s Douglas Coleman III, LSU’s Grant Delpit, Notre Dame’s Alohi Gilman, Florida’s CJ Henderson, Oregon’s Jevon Holland, Alabama’s Xavier McKinney, Clemson’s Tanner Muse, Ohio State’s Jeffrey Okudah, Georgia’s JR Reed, Army’s Elijah Riley and Louisiana Tech’s Amik Robertson.
