STILLWATER — Less than two weeks ago, Ben Grogan had Oklahoma State types buzzing.
They wondered what the heck was wrong with their kicker.
The buzz around Grogan remains, but the reason has changed.
Dramatically.
Last week, he hit a pair of late-game, high-stakes, must-have field goals at Texas. The first, a 41-yarder, tied the game with less than two minutes remaining. The second, a 40-yarder, won it with only seconds left on the clock.
He was lauded by teammates and coaches, exalted by the orange-clad, even feted by the conference, which named him Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
