Spencer Sanders had one last shot.
On fourth-and-8 in overtime, Texas brought the blitz, Sanders rolled out to the left and linebacker Joseph Ossai took the quarterback down before he even had a chance to throw it.
“I should have stayed in the pocket and just took the blow, something could have came open,” Sanders said. “I was just trying to extend the play and just keep up alive. And that’s my bad.”
That was the final play in OSU’s 41-34 thrilling overtime loss to the Longhorns, which was full of twists and turns and big-time plays.
