A game of runs. A chess match. A boxing match. That’s what Oklahoma State’s meeting with St. Bonaventure felt like, especially in the second half.
And the Cowboys were on the losing end of the bout. St. Bonaventure took down OSU 66-64 on Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, in the first game of the Legends Classic in an all-around back-and-forth contest.
“We knew we were in for a battle,” said OSU coach Mike Boynton. “We threw some punches, we took some punches, and they made a few more plays down the stretch than we did… and they executed the details a little bit better than we did tonight.
