Oklahoma State senior Rylee Bayless laced a line drive to left field and bolted out of the batter’s box. It sailed over the head of Oklahoma’s Fale Aviu and bounced to the fence as Bayless sprinted into second base.
She screamed toward the OSU dugout and pounded her fists to get her teammates fired up.
It was the bottom of the sixth inning and top-seeded Oklahoma already led 6-1, which ended up being the final score of the first-ever Bedlam matchup before a record crowd of 9,820 fans at the Women’s College World Series Friday night at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium.
