Glenn Spencer answered another round of questions about Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield. Spencer, Oklahoma State’s defensive coordinator, rattled off Mayfield’s attributes that he knows all too well: “hard to tackle, can throw on the run, makes great reads, tough, doesn’t back down from a challenge.”
When a new reporter joined the media scrum, Spencer was asked about Mayfield again and he listed the same skills once more. Spencer almost seemed irritated when talking about Mayfield, but that should be expected when a coach is talking about an opponent’s player for the third year in a row.
“You just know what he can do,” Spencer said.
