The freshman clichéd the game-winning match, defeating Memphis 4-2 to begin the Cowboy’ doubleheader at Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center on Sunday.
Sophomore Matej Vocel secured the Cowboys’ first point against Memphis’ Chris Patzanovsky in dominate fashion, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
After losing the doubles point, the Cowboys won four of the next five matches to grab the victory against the Tigers.
The Cowboys defeated Oral Roberts later in the day.
