Oklahoma State was truly tested for the first time all season.
Sure, it was a nice experience for the country’s top-rated recruits and multiple-time Big 12 champions to wrestle against teams such as Chattanooga, Little Rock and Air Force.
But this time, OSU faced opponents who could legitimately say they belong on the same mat as the most storied program in college wrestling history.
“I appreciate the fact that it was much bloodier today than our first few matches,” coach John Smith said. “It kind of exposed us a bit that our season might have been softer than we thought.
