Oklahoma State equestrian’s equitation over fences team nearly won a national championship but fell to Auburn in raw scores 677-658 Saturday at Extraco Event Center in Waco, Texas.
Carly Barrick, a senior from Fallbrook, California, shined in her final meet as a member of the Cowgirl equestrian team. Barrick went 5-0 at the national championships and was named to the equitation over fences All-Championship team, along with being named the Most Outstanding Performer in the event.
The Cowgirls fell on Thursday to TCU 10-6 in the first round of the team championships. They tied the Horned Frogs in horsemanship and reigning, but lost 3-1 in both equitation over fences and equitation on the flat.
