Directly after upsetting Kansas in Lawrence and potentially upending the Big 12 race on Saturday, the OSU coaching staff hit the recruiting trail with Jayhawks feathers in their cap to pitch to their top targets.
Mike Boynton and assistant coach David Kontaxis, a heavily tied-in coach with deep AAU roots, made their way to Richmond, Virginia where they checked in on two five-star prospects with OSU interest: Armando Bacot and Isaiah Todd.
Bacot, a top-20 national recruit in the 2019 class, is the No. 1 player in Virginia and the No. 7 center prospect in the country.
