STILLWATER — Mike Gundy found himself wide awake in the darkest hours of Sunday morning.
His double-dose of sleeping pills only got him about four hours through the night, so at 3:45 a.m., the Oklahoma State coach headed back to the empty football offices of Boone Pickens Stadium, where his team had lost to Baylor on Saturday evening.
“Roger was working here, the guy that cleans everything,” Gundy said. “When I walked in, he thought we played so poor, he handed me a broom, wanted me to (sweep) the floor.”
The coach spoke to the media Monday afternoon in his usual weekly luncheon that turned more into a state of the program address entering a week in which the 4-3 Cowboys head to Iowa State for a 2:30 p.
