STILLWATER — Former Oklahoma State center Yor Anei has a new home.
Anei has committed to transfer to SMU, he announced Wednesday on his social media pages.
A 6-foot-10 shot-blocking specialist, Anei was the first of two Cowboys players to depart the program following NCAA penalties that included a one-year postseason ban and loss of three scholarships over three seasons.
Forward Hidde Roessink is reportedly transferring to Missouri-Kansas City.
Anei is a tough loss for the Cowboys’ defense, though.
He tied the school record for blocks in a single season as a freshman, matching Andrew Williams’ 85.
