TULSA — Nearly 3 minutes had passed Saturday and Oklahoma State forward Yor Anei was already on the bench.
This wasn’t foul trouble, though. Against another talented 6-foot-10 sophomore, Anei was ineffective.
In the Cowboys’ 86-66 loss at the BOK Center, Minnesota’s Daniel Oturu won the battle of big shot blockers.
“Yor didn’t play very well,” OSU coach Mike Boynton said. “Guys have to be ready to be consistently productive. I’m not calling him out personally. Everybody’s gotta understand we have depth that we’re going to use.”
Anei was limited to just two points, a rebound, a steal and an assist in 15:30.
