STILLWATER - Oklahoma State 6-foot-10 sophomore Yor Anei took the microphone to introduce himself to the crowd after Saturday’s opening practice at Gallagher-Iba Arena. He had a surprise ready.
He is now referring to himself as a combo guard.
Not a center. Not a forward.
It’s a trend Anei started in June at an alumni event. There, he referred to himself as a forward for the first time. He’s moved to his new “position” now. It could continue to get even more wild from there.
“I think he’s just trying to see how far he can take this until I, like, lose my mind,” OSU coach Mike Boynton said.
