STILLWATER — Shane Hatfield stood idly in line Saturday at Silver Dollar City, waiting to order funnel cakes.
His kids were off with cousins, spinning or soaring on some ride, leaving Hatfield time alone to kill. So he checked into Twitter on his phone.
“I saw the picture of Brad Underwood with the Illinois (athletic director) on Twitter,” said Hatfield, a campus minister at Oklahoma State, as well as a Cowboys fan. “Literally, I thought it was a fake picture.
“Then I started texting all my friends and following everything on Twitter. And I was shocked, just shocked.
