OSU Basketball: Underwood returns to alma mater as red-hot Cowboys win again

MANHATTAN, Kan. – A month ago, Oklahoma State couldn’t see its ceiling for the cellar door.

Now, the Cowboys continue a rapid climb.

How high? Who knows.

Brad Underwood’s program revival added yet another impressive layer Wednesday night, back at his alma mater:

OSU 80, Kansas State 68.

The Cowboys, who hadn’t won at Bramlage Coliseum since 2010, rallied from a 14-point hole in the first half, surged ahead behind Jawun Evans and Leyton Hammonds midway through the second half and rolled to the win.

Once mired at the bottom of the Big 12 amid an 0-6 start, the Cowboys now own a firm hold on fifth place in the conference standings at 8-7, two games ahead of K-State and TCU, tied for sixth at 6-9.
