STILLWATER — Nearly six years ago, Mike Boynton arrived at Florida’s Tampa Catholic High at 6 a.m. on a recruiting visit.
Thomas Dziagwa was already sweating from a workout.
Recruiters all over had questions about Dziagwa. He was a sharpshooter, but if he could get his sweet shot off at the highest level of college basketball was unknown.
That morning, Boynton, then an assistant at Stephen F. Austin, immediately knew the answer.
“I don’t know what time he got there,” Boynton said. “Six o’clock’s about my cutoff. I knew then that he’d have a chance to be successful.
