STILLWATER — Travis Ford toyed with an intriguing pairing in practices last week.
A pairing of two of Oklahoma State's better and more energetic players, but a pair of point guards.
Small point guards.
Ford isn't done experimenting, either. He used 6-foot, 175-pound Juwan Evans with 5-11, 165-pound Tyree Griffin at times in the Cowboys' season opening win over Tennessee-Martin and suggested we'd see them together again.
“With those two in there, we have great ball handlers and two great defenders,” Ford said. “We're going to start playing that lineup a little bit more.”
Ford will likely have to pick his spots, with bigger guards and bigger lineups still to come.
