STILLWATER — Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder believes the Cowboys won the first round of their appeal to the NCAA.
The majority of the Cowboys’ basketball roster remained intact despite a one-year postseason ban and loss of three scholarships over three seasons.
“Kudos to Coach (Mike) Boynton and his staff and for the relationships that he established with those young men,” Holder said. “That’s really gratifying.”
OSU filed its appeal by the June 20 deadline, Holder said Friday in a Zoom teleconference.
Boynton followed that by locking return commitments from all players but two.
