OSU basketball: Mike Boynton 'frustrated' with NCAA sanctions on Alabama

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton is admittingly not fond of the NCAA’s punishment dealt to Alabama last week.

The Crimson Tide received a three-year probation and a $5,000 fine plus 1% of their operating budget after a former associate athletic director accepted bribes to facilitate a meeting between a player’s father and a financial adviser.

It’s part of the FBI investigation that ruled former OSU associate coach Lamont Evans accepted bribes to influence student-athletes from 2016-17.

Except OSU was dealt a one-year postseason ban along with three years of probation and the loss of three scholarships over three seasons.
