STILLWATER — Oklahoma State freshman Marcus Watson could face an investigation from the university’s Title IX office after a female OSU student filed a protective order last week as an alleged victim of rape.
The female student filed the protective order after an alleged incident at Watson’s on-campus apartment Oct. 19. He was suspended from all team activities.
Watson has not been charged or arrested. He and the female student have a court appearance at Payne County courthouse set for Nov. 7.
OSU coach Mike Boynton said he did not know whether a Title IX investigation has begun, but he believes it will happen.
