OSU basketball loses second straight nonconference home game

Jeffrey Carroll hangs his head down after the Cowboys lost 64-63 to Missouri State on Dec. 5.

In disappointing fashion, the Cowboys nearly avoided the disaster, coming back from a 17-point deficit in the second half, but couldn’t cap the afternoon with a victory, falling 64-63 to Missouri State.

“They withstood our run, so give them a lot of credit,” OSU coach Travis Ford said. “They grinded one out and got a very good win and made some big plays down the stretch.”

OSU took its first lead with six minutes to play in the game after struggling mightily in the first half.
