STILLWATER — Ten minutes into Oklahoma State’s season, 11 different players saw the floor. This isn’t last season, that was evident.
Armed with a deeper bench and young talent, OSU coach Mike Boynton used it during Wednesday’s 80-75 win over Oral Roberts to open the season.
And it became clear that Tulsa Memorial product Keylan Boone was ready.
Boone played just 10:09 off the bench, but scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds. He also had a steal. He hit 3 of 5 3-pointers.
“He’s got a really, really high skill package,” Boynton said.
Avery Anderson III also shined in nearly 12 minutes with five points, two steals, a block and an assist.
