STILLWATER — At 6-foot-10, Yor Anei has outgrown plenty. That includes what he used to tell classmates about his two missing fingers.
“When I was younger, I used to joke around and say a dog or a lion bit 'em off,” Anei said with a smile proportionally matching his 7-foot wingspan. “Something just to mess with people.”
A blender incident as a toddler cost Anei the index and middle fingers on his right hand. Now a freshman forward on the Oklahoma State basketball team, he's still able to write with his right hand, but he taught himself to shoot with his left.
