OSU basketball: Cowboys surge to win after power outage

STILLWATER – First, the power went out on Oklahoma State's offense. Then the power went out in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

But when the lights came back on, so did the Cowboys, rolling Longwood 73-55 before an estimated crowd of 1,500 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

OSU started strong, slumped, the surged to the finish to win its second straight and improve to 7-3 overall.

“We came out and got on them the first few minutes,” said Cowboys forward Leyton Hammonds, who ignited the fast start and finished with a career-high 22 points. “Then I felt like we let our foot off the gas and they came back.
